How often should I take my European car in for maintenance?
Every car is different, and each make and model should come with a manual that includes how often your car should be serviced. On average, this is every 15—30,000 miles. However, if your European car is your prized possession, and one you do not use much, you should bring it in annually even if it does not reach over 10,000 miles in a year.
My check engine light has come on. What do I do?

An oil change is a pretty common occurrence. Can’t I just take my car anywhere? Or do it myself?

And you can change the oil yourself, but an oil change requires the old oil to be completely drained from the car. This means the car must be raised enough for a full grown person to fit beneath it. Then the old oil must completely drip dry from the car. This process can take hours. Putting in the new oil is relatively simple, but then what do you do with the old oil? You can’t just throw it away.
